That’s not entirely impossible. If the ground around the pool, and the pool itself, were on a slant, walking from the top area to the bottom would leave you lower than you were, necessitating a ladder to return to the top of the pool. Unless, of course, you walked back up the hill. But my point is, it could be done.
if you look closly it is very impossible if the pool was slanted at such an angle that in say 15 feet it could make a (just a guess) 8 foot ladder the man on the left and towards the back would fall or be slanting also the ladder could not be straight up and would have to be slanted forward i agree it is very impossible and dcfannumber1 what the hell does easy mean are you special you think that drawing a pool is easy? please explain.
Impossible, the pool cant be on a slant because if it was the guy at the top would not have his feet in the water, just because the outside may be slanted doesnt mean liquid can - the water would spill over at a slant - common sense.
nah its impossible because if you look the water is the same level at each end and if it was on a slant the water wouldnt stay up the top end it would flow to the bottom
If you are saying it could work because in this picture the ground could be on a slant, that means that the water is also on a slant which is impossible because it would all slosh to one side.
If the pool was on a slant the water would flow out. regardless of the form of the earth gravity still pulls towards the center. A ball on a hill will roll down it, water on a slant will flow out.
Umm… I guess everyone is split. My friend and I just looked at this and it’s impossible. Even if the pool was on a slant, the water itself would have to level off, meaning that the water level would have to be as low as it was at the base of the ladder, and the guy couldn’t put his legs in.
HEY “im better than u” (so called) You Shutup! Those people have a right to say what they want so you stop picking on thier life and what they did wrong and get on with your own faults!!!
its totally possible it would be like a slanted driveway
the high part would be deeper
so the water dosent spill
and you would need a ladder to get to the top of walk on the out side of the pool
i think i get it
I’m sorry to burst your bubbles people, but it IS possible, but NOT in the way you may think. The ladder doesen’t neccessarily need to be verticle. What’s wrong about the pool being flat, but the man on the ladder could be traversing from one platform to the other horizontally. I’m sorry, but “duhh”, your solution IS impossible. Sorry there.
Impossible… if it were on a slant, the water would overflow on the lower part or wouldn’t be high enough on the high end for the man to put his feet in. Gravity my friends…
Plus there wouldn’t be that many steps on the ladder
Thanks guys for saying I am right! You guys are so cool, and “duhh” (that’s a person’s name) you are right, it is like a slanted driveway so it is possible.
And also, please, if you’re one of the people who thinks it’s impossible, please don’t argue with me, and everybody else who thinks it’s possible.
Peace Owt!
The picture is possible. The pool deck is flat (is not slanted) because the distance of water level from the pool deck is uniformed. The ladder is placed free standing on a vertical position, it is not connected to the upper flatform. This can be noticed thru their shadows (they don’t touch each other).
Dont you see? IT IS POSSIBLE! The guy who’s dipping his legs in, look how deep they are?! That makes the man climbing up the ladder possible, but he is underwater! DON’T YOU SEE?
Hey everyone, I just wanted to claify that this illusion is NOT possible. The slanted driveway theory is wong because of the man with his legs in the water stated by many of the people who believe impossible. The water like they said would flow out of the pool if it was on a slant. The one about the ladder being horizontal is also wrong because of the way the sunlight makes the shadow on the ladder. The only one that makes sense about it being possible was edwin’s comment on how the ladder was standing freely but that is wrong because the ladder is attached to the upper platform. The shadow of the curves of upper part of the ladder is on the platform to prove it is attached. Anyone who disagrees feel free to say anything you want because ill probably never see you in my life and you make yourself look more like a jerk by cussing people out for their opinion.

January 23rd, 2009 at 8:31 pm
I agree with im better than you, it is impossible.
Because a man near the top, on the right, has his feet in the water, making it impossible.
January 25th, 2009 at 11:16 am
i ttly agree with jasmine it is possibe
February 2nd, 2009 at 9:09 pm
WOW IAM STUNNED WOW

March 21st, 2009 at 12:45 am
If the pool was on a slant, the water would not slant with it.
So it is physically impossible, unless it isn’t water at all… but JELLO.
April 14th, 2009 at 4:37 am
If the pool was on a slant, wouldn’t the water be altered? like the pool wouldn’t be full, or the water would be slanted or whatever…
So, it’s impossible… You don’t build a pool on a slant! Particularly one that drastic! (:
April 21st, 2009 at 2:10 pm
this is easy. its all flat and the ladder is not even touching the other board, it just looks like that.
IDIOTS
April 24th, 2009 at 7:35 am
Wow this is sooooooooooo cool!!!!
April 26th, 2009 at 2:16 pm
The pool diving board has the same tile as the ground below it.
Slant slant slant.
May 5th, 2009 at 2:40 pm

wow, either way you look at tit your all right in a way, yes i can be done but logically no it can’t
May 21st, 2009 at 10:03 am
but the people don’t look real though exept the man on the ladder
May 31st, 2009 at 11:22 am
if it were at a slant wouldn’t the water leak out?
May 31st, 2009 at 11:49 pm

i agree with duhh
August 23rd, 2009 at 12:55 am
Hey this COULD be possible, but there isn’t any sign of slant in the picture which makes it seem so impossible. Really weird/cool!
August 26th, 2009 at 4:20 am
Wud are u alal talking about??
Concentrate on the guy climbing the ladder .

Yes it is possible beacuse we don’t know how deep the water is… Think about it…
October 8th, 2009 at 4:06 am
Also the swimming pool is at a certain angle so we don’t KNOW wether it’s possible. It’s all about optimism. Opinion.
October 19th, 2009 at 6:53 am

Kind of tricky.

that’s just a diving board the same color of the tile around the pool!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
